In The Footsteps Of Great Civilizations

DAY 1 (Sunday): After you are met at the airport and brought to the hotel, you can relax, take a bath and have dinner in the hotel's cozy restaurant. After that, take a walk in the area near the hotel, just a little bit, because the real journey for you starts tomorrow.


DAY 2 (Mon): After breakfast a journey to Istanbul begins (departure from the hotel at 08:15  08:30). On this day, you will see a year ahead! The Hippodrome with its three columns, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Yerebatan (St. George's Cathedral). The Hagia Sofia by order of the Turkish Ministry of Culture will be closed again on Monday). (lunch-13:30. Lunch duration – 35 – 45min.) No, that's not all! After moving to the Asian part of Istanbul, you will go to the capital of Turkey, Ankara! ( ~450 km) (arrival at20:00)! Dinner at the hotel restaurant.


 DAY 3 (Tue):  after relaxing at the hotel and having breakfast (08:15), you will go to the huge Ataturk Museum – a place where everything connected with the Republic of Turkey is collected: from the exclusive cars of its founder, Ataturk, to the huge panoramas that restore the events of the Turkish War of Independence in the 20s of the last century. Then the group will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, where you will see for the first time in your life objects made by people 40 000 years ago. Walk along the walls of the fortress of Ankara and ... back on the road! (Departure from Ankara to 12:00 — 12:30. Lunch 13:30 – 14:00). You are going to Cappadocia (~250 km). on your way, you will stop at the second largest salt lake in Turkey. In Cappadocia, for an additional fee you will be able to attend a performance of whirling Dervishes. (21:00  22:00). Dinner at the hotel (19:00 – 20:00).


 DAY 4 (Wed):  After breakfast (departure at 08:15 – 08:30) you will see the most beautiful view on Earth – a huge mountain plateau, dotted with churches, monasteries and houses... hollowed out in the rocks. You will visit the valleys with unique rock formations, the underground city of Kaymakli, the Goreme monastery complex with its unique frescoes in dozens of churches carved directly into the rocks. You will visit the ceramics workshop, where unique products will be created before your eyes (and you can try to make a vase on a Potter's wheel with your own hands!). You will have the opportunity to see how the famous Turkish carpets are woven and see the "flying carpet" firsthand. Also, a hot air balloon ride is available for an additional fee. Dinnerand overnight at the hotel (17:00 – 18:00). If you want, you will find an incendiary "Turkish night" (21:30 – 23:30 for an additional fee).


 DAY 5 (Thursday):  Breakfast (check out is at 07:00 – 08:30) The first stop at 09:00 — 10:30 (sanitary). A trip to Konya (~220 km), followed by a walk through the religious complex of Mevlana. Mevlana is an ancient Eastern monastery, a haven for monks, poets and philosophers. Center of Sufi culture. It was founded by Mevlana Rumi himself – his role in the poetry of the East is as great as Pushkin's in Russian. Only Rumi is also the founder of the order of dervishes-dancing monks. (Departure from Tala 12:00 — 14:00. Lunch 14:00 — 16:00. Second stop — 16:00 — 18:00). You can digest the impressions of Mevlana during your trip to Pamukkale. (~420 km) After that, you will have dinner at the hotel and have a good rest (arrival at the hotel — 18:00-20:00).


 DAY 6 (Fri):  In the morning after breakfast (departure from the hotel at 08:00 — 08:15) you will see the huge ancient cemetery of Hierapolis. Huge crypts that have kept cool and dark for twenty centuries, will amaze you with their size. And after them you will get to the travertines! Beautiful white mountains that flow with hot mineral water, with a huge number of natural pools... for an additional fee, you can swim in the Cleopatra pool (departure from Pamukkale – 11:30-12:00Lunch – 12:30. Sanitary stop – 14:30). Then move to the ancient city of Selchuk. (~ 190 km) Here you will find Ephesus, one of the centers of early Christianity, the Church of St. John and the House of the Virgin Mary, where you can make a wish (it will come true!) and the remains of the Artemis temple burnt by Herostratus... (arrival at Ephesus at 15:30 — 16:00). You will stay in a cozy hotel on the beach in Kusadasi. Dinner (18:00  19:00) After dinner, you can walk around the city and smell the Aegean Sea.


Day 7 (Sat): Breakfast (departure from the hotel at 08:00 — 08:15. An hour later — Izmir (passing through). 13:00 – lunch. Transfer to Pergamum) (~ 190 km). After your stay at the hotel, you will visit the capital of the Kingdom of Pergamum, from which the word "parchment" comes. And touch the walls of the ancient library, where for the first time (!) in the world there was a book in its current form. From there you will get to the magnificent temple of the Emperor Trajan, see the foot of the altar of Zeus and the magnificent mountain theater, the audience rows of which are located on a steep mountain slope... Today you spend night andhave dinner in a cozy hotel on the beach in the small town of Assos, where Aristotle once taught at the local Gymnasium. (~140 km). (Arrival 17:00  18:00)


 DAY 8 (Sunday):  In the morning, breakfast (departure from the hotel at 07: 30) and a tour to Assos, where you will see the ancient theater and the temple of Athena. Transfer to the legendary city of Troy. (~ 65 km) (Arrival 09:30 - 10:00). You will visit the same Troy, which was captured thanks to a clever Odyssey. You will see the field where Achilles dragged Hector's body behind his chariot. Cross the Dardanelles Strait. (12:00 – Canakkale13:30 – lunch16:00 Sanitary stop). And you will get to Istanbul (~ 360 km) (18:00 – 19:00) where your trip will end.


Thus: in seven days you will visit 10 ancient and modern cities of Turkey, get acquainted with 5 ancient civilizations of the world, visit Europe and Asia, visit more than 20 unique architectural ensembles, and see at least a thousand ancient things, relics, frescoes and statues, the total age of which will be at least 100 thousand years.


The tour program ends on Sundays when the group arrives at Istanbul's international airport. Estimated arrival time is 19: 00. When selecting flights for tourists following the route of this tour, please note that the time of return departure on the final day of the tour (on Sundays) should not be earlier than 21:00.
